The government has banned 23 officials and members of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) from traveling abroad.

On the recommendation of the National Sports Council (NSC), the Immigration Department has banned ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang and Senior Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka, along with 6 officials and 15 working committee members, from traveling abroad. They have been placed on the immigration blacklist.

Similarly, General Secretary Kiran Rai, Spokesperson Suresh Shah and CEO Indraman Tuladhar have also been blacklisted. According to the Home Ministry, ANFA Vice Presidents Deepak Khatiwada, Birat Jung Shahi, Dawa Lama and Dirgha Bahadur (Kumar) KC have also been placed on the immigration blacklist. Similarly, working committee members Ramesh Byanjanakar, Mahendra Chhetri, Rabindra Chand, Anil Malla, Manish Joshi, Purushottam Thapa, Bhojraj Shahi, Bikash Narayan Shrestha, Tikaram Lama, Bharat Bahadur Budthapa, Maniraj Bista, Pema Dolma Lama, Sarila Shrestha Maleku and Rupesh Adhikari have also been blacklisted. According to the Home Ministry, they were included in the list on Thursday and Friday. There had been a clash between the two organizations over issues such as disobeying the NCA's instructions and trying to proceed with the election process without approval. Meanwhile, ANFA was suspended. The NCA has recommended that Adhyagam be banned from traveling abroad, saying that he can travel abroad at will during the suspension.

Meanwhile, the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) have set a deadline for the National Sports Council (NSC) to withdraw its decision to suspend the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

The two highest bodies of international football have written a letter asking the NSC to withdraw the three-month suspension imposed on ANFA by April 21. FIFA and the AFC have asked the NSC to withdraw the suspension, saying that it interfered with ANFA's autonomy.

They have also been interpreting NSC's decision to suspend ANFA as third-party interference. After NSC's suspension, ANFA's election scheduled for Chaitra 13 in Jhapa was also postponed.

The letter also states that the situation will become complicated if NSC's decision is not withdrawn by the specified date. It is also said that after FIFA and AFC withdraw the NSC decision, a solution can be found through dialogue with all stakeholders. ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai and other ANFA officials reached NSC on Thursday and submitted the letter from FIFA and AFC.
