The match against Bangladesh, which was postponed due to bad weather on Friday, will be played at 9 am on Sunday and Nepal is scheduled to play the semi-final match on the same day in the afternoon. The semi-final match schedule of the kabaddi team participating in the 6th Asian Games will be received in the afternoon, said Ramkrishna Shrestha, Nepali Chef of the Mission for the 6th Asian Games.
Nepal Olympic Committee Chairman Jeevan Ram Shrestha, who reached the Beach Stadium in Sanya to observe the competition, expressed happiness over the good performance of the women's team. He said, ‘I am very happy that the result came out well with sports experience and confidence.’
Nepal won the bronze medal at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China in October 2023. Stating that it attracted the attention of many after that game, Shrestha said that Nepal has proven itself to be a good sport in the Beach Games. He said, ‘Nepal, which showed its ability by defeating Chinese Taipei in the first game, hopes to win a good medal if it continues to play well in the remaining games.’
India and Sri Lanka have made it to the semi-finals from Group A. Syria has been eliminated from this group. Nepal and Bangladesh made it to the last four from Group B, while Chinese Taipei and Thailand were eliminated.
