Nepal is set to bat in the Cricket World Cup League 2 match against UAE. UAE captain Mohammad Wasim won the toss and invited Nepal to bat at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Bhim Sarki, Arif Sheikh, Dipendra Singh Airi, Bashir Ahmed, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane and Lalit Rajbanshi are playing for Nepal, led by Rohit Poudel.

Arjun Saud, Binod Bhandari, Gulshan Jha and Nandan Yadav are out of Nepal's playing 11.

Both are playing poorly in League 2. Nepal, which has played the same 20 matches, is in the bottom two places of the eight-nation tournament with 12 and UAE with 10 points. When UAE came to Kathmandu in 2023, Nepal won both matches of League 2.

Nepal and UAE had played two Twenty20 International series in Kirtipur before this League 2 series. UAE and Nepal won 1-1 in those matches held on Monday and Tuesday.
