Nottingham Forest almost secured their escape from relegation with a 5-0 win over Sunderland in the Premier League on Friday. The win moved Forest eight points clear of the relegation zone.

The result sets up a two-match series between West Ham and Tottenham for the one team still in contention. Wolves and Burnley have already been relegated. Forest, who ended their run in the final stages, are unbeaten in their last six games.

Chris Wood, Morgan Gibbs, Igol Jesus and Elliot Anderson scored at the Stadium of Lights. The other goal was an own goal. Sunderland remain 11th on 46 points.
