After Nepal's poor performance in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup Asia-Pacific qualifiers held in Oman in October, Malla was not included in the Nepali team for the Twenty20 World Cup in India .
Arjun has not played a Twenty20 International . He last played an ODI against Canada in 2024 . Arjun will play the role of wicketkeeper in Asif's absence .
