UAE captain Mohammad Wasim hit 2 fours and a six in the first over to make 20 runs off debutant Hemant Dhami. When Wasim was on 24, wicketkeeper Arjun Saud dropped a catch off Nandan.
Wasim hit a six off Sandeep Lamichhane, who came in with the fourth over. Sandeep dismissed him on the next ball. Wasim scored 33 runs off 15 balls with 3 fours and a six. Two balls later, Sandeep dismissed Abid Usmani lbw for 2 runs.
In his second over, Sandeep dismissed Harpreet Singh for 2 runs. Alisan Sarafu scored 18 runs in 15 balls, hitting 1 four and 1 six, before being dismissed by Kushal Malla. Akshadeep Nath scored 17 runs in 8 balls and Sohail Khan scored 2 runs, remaining unbeaten, to lead UAE to victory.
