The Nepali national women's hockey team participating in the senior women's hockey tournament to be held in India was bid farewell on Sunday.

According to Nepal Hockey Association General Secretary Subarna Shrestha, the Nepali women's hockey team is going to play and train abroad after 31 years. 

The Nepali team, captained by Ankita Adhikari, has 26 players. Ashwini Kumar Adhikari is the head coach, while Ravindra Singh is the assistant coach and Kanturam Paneru is the manager.

The Nepali team will depart for India on Sunday itself.
