Tribhuvan Army Club has won the PM Cup cricket tournament title by defeating Sudurpaschim Pradesh by 5 wickets.

In the final match held at the TB Shah Cricket Ground in Birgunj on Friday, Army lifted the title with a balanced performance in both batting and bowling.

Sudurpaschim, who elected to bat after winning the toss, scored a modest total of 161 runs in 39 overs and 4 balls, losing all their wickets. Sudurpaschim's Ashok Dhami scored 43 runs in 46 balls, while Kiran Thagunna added 35 runs in 42 balls. Army bowler Akash Chand took 3 wickets in 9 overs and gave away only 21 runs. Shahab Alam also took 3 wickets in 10 overs.

Chasing an easy target of 162 runs, Army easily won by scoring 164 runs in 34 overs and 5 wickets in 3 balls. Army's Iman Sheikh scored an unbeaten 46 off 82 balls, while Bashir Ahmed contributed 45 off 56 balls.

On the bowling front, Sudurpaschim's Hemant Dhami took 2 wickets for 24 runs in 6 overs, while Ashok Dhami took 1 wicket for 23 runs in 8 overs.

Army's Bashir Ahmed was declared the 'Player of the Match' based on his excellent all-round performance. He scored 45 runs with the bat and bowled only 25 runs while taking 2 wickets in 7 overs and 1 ball. He also bowled 1 maiden over.

With this victory, the divisional team Tribhuvan Army Club has once again proven its dominance in domestic cricket by winning the Prime Minister's Cup 2026 title.

Army, which was the joint winner with Nepal Police in the first edition of PM Com in 2017, then lifted the title in the fourth edition of this tournament in 2021. This is the third time since then that the Army has won the title.
