Chasing a target of 196, opener Prabhsimran Singh and captain Shreyas Iyer shared a brilliant partnership for the third wicket. Prabhsimran scored an unbeaten 80 off 39 balls, hitting 11 fours and 2 sixes. Marcus Stoinis, who was also unbeaten, scored 10 runs. Captain Shreyas contributed 66 runs off 35 balls, hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes. Shreyas was caught by Naman Dhir off Shardul Thakur after hitting two consecutive sixes in the 15th over. Shreyas scored his third consecutive half-century. Punjab remain unbeaten and have reached the top spot. Mumbai, with only one win in 5 matches, is in ninth place.
