Suryodaya Football Club Lafe has won the title of the adventure football tournament organized at Charrate, Phalelung Rural Municipality-4, Panchthar.
The tournament was held at an altitude of 3,450 meters above sea level and won the title by defeating the rival Tri Simana Janasewa Samaj.
The winner Suryodaya received 40 kg of Chauri ghee worth Rs 40,000 along with a trophy, medal and certificate. Similarly, the runner-up Tri Simana Janasewa Samaj was satisfied with 20 kg of ghee worth Rs 20,000.
The adventure football tournament was organized by the Kanchenjunga Yak Cheese Production Group on the occasion of the 9th Phalelung Chauri Tourism Festival.
Since 2074 BS, the Chauri Tourism Festival has been organized on the Nepali New Year. The adventure football tournament was organized on the same occasion.
This tournament, which will be held at Charrate, on the border with neighboring India, is considered one of the highest football tournaments in Nepal. Five teams from Nepal and India participated in this year's tournament.
