Satdobato entered the semi-finals by defeating the host Rastriya Jagriti Club by a margin of 2-0 in the third quarter-final match held on Wednesday night.
Suraj Thakuri and Samir Tamang scored 1-1 to send Satdobato to the semi-finals in the match held at Itahari Stadium. In the 31st minute of the match, Suraj hit the net with a shot from about 30 yards away. In the 35th minute, Samir scored a brilliant goal to give the team a 2-0 lead in the first half.
Taking advantage of the weakness of Jagriti's defender, Raj Bhusal's shot hit the goalpost and bounced back. Samir converted the same shot into a goal.
After Jagriti's attempt to return to the game in the second half was unsuccessful, this time too the host team was forced to return home from the first match. Sameer was declared the Player of the Match and won Rs 10,000 in cash.
Today's winner Satdobato will compete with the winner of the match between Planning Boys United and United Kharsang Football Club UKFC tomorrow, Thursday, in the final semi-final on Saturday.
The final match will be held on 7th Baisakh. The final winner will receive Rs 1 million in cash and the runner-up will receive Rs 5 million.
