Malaysia's RTFC has become the champion in its first participation in the ninth edition of the International Invitational Bharoul Gold Cup held in Barahkshetra, Sunsari. RTFC defeated Morang's Pathari Sporting Club by a 3-2 goal margin in the final held on Sunday.

Richard William scored 2 goals and Richard Weichen scored 1 goal to help RTFC win the title in the match organized by New Star Club at the local Judges' Stadium Bharoul. All three goals were scored in the first half. William scored in the 15th and 22nd minutes of the first half. Three minutes later, another player Weichen scored, giving RTFC a 3-0 lead in the first half.

Despite scoring 2 goals in the second half, Pathari's attempt to make a comeback failed to succeed until the end. Pathari's Tampio Habiz scored in the 11th minute of the second half and Daniel scored in the 14th minute, but it was not enough for the victory.

RTFC, the team of NRN Malaysia vice-president and former national player Raju Tamang, which became the champion in its first participation, won Rs 400,000 in cash and Pathari, the runner-up, won Rs 200,000.
