Arjun Kumal once again shone at the TB Shah Cricket Ground in Birgunj as Gandaki Pradesh defeated Lumbini Pradesh by 8 wickets in a match played on Sunday under the Prime Minister's Cup Cricket Tournament. 

Lumbini, who elected to bat first after winning the toss, scored 207 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 45 overs. 

Santosh Yadav made a significant contribution of 82 runs in 77 balls for Lumbini, while Salahuddin Khan also added 60 runs in 77 balls.  Gandaki's bowler Bipin Khatri took 4 wickets for the loss of 37 runs in 9 overs, while Aparajit Poudel took 3 wickets for the loss of 44 runs in 10 overs.

Chasing a target of 208 runs, Gandaki easily won by scoring 211 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in just 1 over out of 44 overs.  Arjun Kumal of Gandaki performed brilliantly and scored an unbeaten century of 103 runs in 130 balls.  He was supported by Sibrin Shrestha who scored 43 runs off 77 balls. Lumbini bowlers Dinesh Bohora and Santosh Yadav took 1 wicket each but could not help the team win. Bohora took 1 wicket for 20 runs in 3 overs and Yadav took 1 wicket for 36 runs in 9 overs.

Arjun Kumal, who scored a brilliant century, was declared the 'Player of the Match'. He hit 13 fours and 1 six in his 103 runs.
