The Gaurishankar Super League U-17 cricket tournament organized by Gaurishankar Cricket Academy has begun. The tournament, organized with the aim of providing an opportunity for young players to showcase their talents, was inaugurated by Gaurishankar Rural Municipality Chairman Biswas Karki and former Minister Vishal Khadka.
Chairman Karki said that it is a very commendable act for Gaurishankar Cricket Academy to organize such tournaments targeting the young generation.
Two matches have also been played. In the first match, Jorpati Cricket Academy defeated Gaurishankar Cricket Academy by 9 runs and in the second match, Nexus Cricket Academy defeated CEC Kathmandu by 30 runs.
18 teams will participate in the tournament and the tournament is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of cricket at the local level.
