The National Rugby Sevens Women's and Men's Tournament will be held at the Dasharath Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.

Nepal Rugby Association has stated that all seven provincial teams, along with two departmental Tribhuvan Army and APF clubs, will participate in the tournament. Seven teams on both sides will be divided into two groups and compete on a league-cum-knockout basis.

The winning team of the tournament will receive equal prizes. The winner will win 50,000 rupees, the runner-up 30,000 rupees. The best players will receive 5,000 rupees each, informed the general secretary of the association, Govinda Ghimire. According to him, the total cost of the tournament is 3 million rupees. The participating players will be provided with an accident insurance worth 125,000 rupees. Bhaktapur International Hospital is the hospital partner of the tournament.

Chetan Raj Giri, senior vice president of the association, informed that players will be selected for international competitions from this tournament. The national team will be selected based on their performance in the 20th Asian Games in Japan and the Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Trophy in Taiwan.
