In the first match of the men's football tournament organized at the Swargbhumi Stadium in Ghalegaun, Ward No. 9 Gilung defeated Ward No. 8 Ghamrang by a margin of 4-2 goals.
In a friendly match, the people's representative team defeated the staff team by a wide margin of 4-1 goals. The first goal was scored by the rural municipality chairman Surya Prasad Gurung on behalf of the people's representatives. The staff was led by Chief Administrative Officer Madhav Prasad Wagle.
All 9 wards within the rural municipality have participated in the football tournament for men. In the women's tournament, 7 teams have participated, informed Nauraj Gurung, Chairman of the Youth and Sports Development Committee Kholasothar.

The first team in the men's category will be awarded Rs 100,000, a trophy, medal and certificate. The second-place team will be awarded Rs 50,000 along with a trophy, medal and certificate.
The first team in the women's category will be awarded Rs 50,000 in cash and the second-place team will be awarded Rs 25,000 in cash, cup, medal and certificate, informed Dileshwor Gurung, Secretary of the Sports Development Committee, Kholasothar.
