The tennis competition NCTC, ICS Unity Games 2026 has been concluded in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The competition between players from four different states of Australia and Nepal lasted for two days.
The competition, organized by the Nepalese Community Tennis Club in Victoria, was attended by players from Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory of Australia and Nepal. 48 players participated in the competition in various categories. According to the organizing organization, the participating players were awarded with cash and trophies.
In the Advanced Over 35 category, Seemant Gurung of Nepal won the competition, while Anup Gurung of Queensland became the runner-up. In the Intermediate category, Dipesh Ghimire of South Australia and Bhishma Gautam of Victoria became the winner and runner-up, respectively. The doubles pair of Seemant Gurung and Ashok Gurung of Victoria won, while Anup Gurung of Queensland and Kumar Khatri of Victoria were the runners-up. The organizers have stated that a total of 4,500 Australian dollars were distributed to the winners and runners-up.
Secretary of the Nepalese Community Tennis Club, Bhishma Gautam, who organized the tournament, said that the aim is to bring tennis lovers from all over the world together through tennis and to attract Nepali sports lovers in Australia to tennis.
