Karate player Erica Gurung will compete in the WKF Karate One Premier League to be held in Leshan, China. For that, a 3-member Nepali karate team including Erica will leave for China on Wednesday.

Erica will compete in the women's 68 kg weight category in the competition to be held from April 10 to 12. Erica won a historic silver medal in the Premier League held in Istanbul, Turkey in January. The Premier League is held four times a year.

According to national karate team coach Kushal Shrestha, Erica is currently ranked 11th in the world rankings. Based on her achievements in 2026, Tamudhi UK Goodwill Ambassador Erica is ranked fourth.
