Army, which was behind in the opening quarter, won with a brilliant performance in the fourth quarter. Golden Gate took a 25-17 lead, but the second quarter ended with a 13-13 draw. Golden Gate was leading 38-30 at halftime. Golden Gate, which had won the third quarter by 24-21, went into the final quarter with a 62-51 lead. But Army put in a great performance in the fourth quarter. Army won the game by a score of 80-71, winning the quarter by 29-9. Army captain Binod Maharjan was declared the Man of the Match.
While Army secured a place in the final to be held on Saturday, Golden Gate will get another chance to reach the final. Now, Golden Gate will play the second qualifier against the winner of the eliminator between Times and KVC Hounds.
