In the Nepal Kabaddi League (NKL), along with the exciting competition of domestic and foreign players, the creations of rappers can also be seen and heard. For that, Nepahop's Shreepech has become the 'reality show partner' of NKL.
NKL organizer Astronix Management has partnered with the reality show Nepahop's Shreepech, which is very popular among the younger generation, on Friday. Astronix CEO Bikash Agrawal and Nepahop's Shreepech founder Sudip Pokharel have signed a partnership letter. The agreement has been signed for collaboration for NKL Season 2 and Nepalhop's Shreepech Season 3.
CEO Agrawal said that the collaboration between NKL and Nepahop will change the way sports and entertainment are viewed in Nepal, starting a new era.
Pokharel of Nepahop said that this is the first collaboration agreement between a reality show and the Kabaddi League and that rappers will get exposure in NKL. He said that the journey of hip-hop music with kabaddi has begun.
NKL Season 2 will be held at the Rakhep Covered Hall at Dasharath Stadium from Jestha 22. Six franchise teams from six cities will compete in it. According to the agreement, rappers from NepHop's Shreepech will create different anthems for the six NKL teams based on the competition. Each winner will receive 50 thousand. NepHop's Shreepech will prepare two episodes on the NKL theme after selecting the top 30.
The judging duo of NepHop's Shreepech, Vioma and Manas Ghale, were present at the event. They said that the collaboration between rap and NKL will benefit both sports and music.
Amit Kumar Beghani, head of Astronix Management, has said that the world's best players are eager to come to Nepal to play NKL Season 2. More than 100 foreign players from 16 countries have registered their names. Teams will select players through the Players Draft. Kantipur Max TV HD is the broadcast partner for NKL Season 2.
Biratnagar Bahubali (Koshi Province), defending champion Janakpur Knights (Madhesh Province), Kathmandu Mavericks (Bagmati Province), Pokhara Lakers (Gandaki Province), Butwal Bulls (Lumbini Province) and Dhangadhi Wildcats (Sudur Paschim Province) are competing in Season 2.
