Star Cricket Club has won the ‘B’ Division match of the 24th edition of the Rupandehi Super League One-Day Cricket Tournament on Friday. Star defeated Butwal-11 Cricket Club by 85 runs. Star, who won the toss and elected to bat at the Siddhartha Cricket Ground in Bhairahawa, scored 174 runs in 45 overs after losing all their wickets. Krishna Kuwar scored 44 runs for Star, Faizan Khan scored 23 runs, Siddhartha Dhakal scored 16 runs, Ganesh Dhital scored 14 runs and Bindram Yadav scored 10 runs. Butwal-11’s Tausif Alam took 5 wickets, Akash Aryal took 2 wickets and Thaneshwar Bhattarai and Bibhesh Khati took 1 wicket each. In reply, Butwal-11 scored only 89 runs in 34 overs after losing all their wickets. To stop Butwal-11 cheaply, Star's Tul Bahadur Thapa took 3 wickets, Ganesh Dhital and Krishna BK took 2-2 wickets, and Anish Bhattarai and Iljan Khan took 1-1 wickets.
Butwal-11's Rojan Regmi scored 14 runs, Rohit Kumar Paswan scored 13 runs, and Vibhesh Khati scored 10 runs. Tul Bahadur Thapa was named Player of the Match and received Rs 1,200.
