Three players from Nepal will compete in the 8th Shanghai Cooperation Organization International Team Chess Championship to be held in China from April 7 to 12. Rupesh Jaishwal, Ashish Phuyal and Kritisara Adhikari will participate in it. The manager is Tara Bahadur Ranabhat.

Five players from Nepal will compete in the Asian Continental Stage of the FIDE ISCF World School Team Championship to be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from April 6 to 11. The players are Nihana Shrestha, Suhani Singh, Krishti Rijal, Brijananda Das Tamata and Akshaman Kunwar.

The manager is Neerajan Prajapati and the coach is Rijendra Rajbhandari. Both the teams will leave for the tournament venue on Sunday.

National Sports Council Member-Secretary Ramcharitra Mehta bid farewell to the players on Thursday.
