Rupandehi Super League-2082 has started in the district. This is the 24th edition of the league, which started on Tuesday under the organization of Rupandehi Cricket Association. The matches of ‘B’ division have started under the competition.

Buddha Cricket Club has won the match that started after the inauguration of the competition by House of Representatives member Punam Kumari Agarwal. Buddha made a winning start by defeating Nepathya Gyanodaya Cricket Club by 5 wickets.

Nepathya Gyanodaya, who won the toss and elected to bat at the Siddhartha Cricket Ground, scored only 111 runs in 33 overs and 2 balls in the scheduled 50-over match. Pravesh Saru scored 61 and Ranjit Khadka scored 12 runs for them. In the bowling, Anuj Chauhan of Buddha took 4 wickets, Suraj Gurung and Nitesh Patel took 2 wickets each and Pravez Ansari took 1 wicket.

In reply, Buddha won easily by scoring 112 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 23 overs. Harikesh Murau contributed 24 not out, Anuj Chauhan and Ajay Tripathi 21-21, Pravez Ansari 20 and Mithilesh Yadav 14 runs in their victory.

In bowling, Ranjit Khadka and Jay Godar of Nepathya Gyanodaya took 2-2 wickets and Pravesh Saru took 1 wicket. Anuj Chauhan was named Player of the Match and received Rs. 1,200.
