The Dolakha District Cricket Association is going to hold the Gaurishankar Super League T-20 cricket tournament from Chaitra 29. The tournament, which will last until Baisakh 9, will be held at the Lower Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu.

Gaurishankar Cricket Academy President Bishnukumar Budhathoki said that 18 teams will participate in the tournament. The organizers stated in a press meet on Tuesday that the tournament was organized to provide an opportunity for young talents to showcase their sports skills.

The total budget of the tournament is 900,000 rupees, with the winner receiving 100,000 rupees and the runner-up receiving 50,000 rupees along with a trophy. The best player will receive a cricket kit worth 20,000 rupees. A trophy will be given to the man of the match in each match. 2,100 rupees will be given for scoring a century and 2,100 rupees for taking 6 wickets.

The competing teams are KDCA 11, Great Himalaya Cricket Academy, CEC Bhaktapur, CEC Kathmandu, Baluwatar Cricket Club, Himalaya Sports Management, One Day Cricket Academy, Himalayan Cricket Academy, Gaurishankar Cricket Academy, Nexus Academy, Bhaktapur Cricket Center, Angels Sports, Kings, Radiant Cricket Academy, Jorpati Cricket Club, Kathmandu Cricket Academy, Fearless Falcon Club and Kshamadevi Warriors.

Technical Director Ravindra Gupta said that the participating teams will be divided into 6 groups. According to him, the competition will initially be on a league basis. The winner of each group will advance to the knockout stage.
