The football field upgrade has begun in Rampur, Palpa. Sundar Rana, President of Jyotipunj Youth Club, and Raman Bahadur Thapa, Mayor of Rampur Municipality, laid the foundation stone for the upgrade of the ‘Jyotipunj Khel Maidan’ located in Kisanbari, Rampur Municipality-7.
Rana, President of Jyotipunj Youth Club, said that the upgrade of the playground has begun with the budget allocated by Rampur Municipality. Rampur Municipality has allocated 20 million rupees under a multi-year project for the upgrade of the playground in the current fiscal year. Mayor Thapa said that a budget of 5 million rupees has been managed in the current fiscal year. He said that work worth 5 million rupees will be done in the first phase of the upgrade work.

He said that there is a plan to develop the football field in Kisanbari as well as the Bultar playground as a cricket hub. Rana, president of Jyotipunj Youth Club, said that work including construction of a fence with a wall and landscaping of the playground will be done at the Kisanbari football field this year.
‘The municipality’s proactiveness in developing the Kisanbari playground as a football ‘hub’ is commendable,’ he said, ‘The work to be done with the allocated budget this year will be completed on time.’ Rampur Municipality Deputy Mayor Bal Kumari Thapa said that the necessary infrastructure for different types of sports is being built at the playgrounds within Rampur municipality. Saksham Nirman Sevas Pvt. Ltd. has signed a contract agreement for the work with an estimated cost of Rs. 50 lakhs for Rs. 3.651 million including VAT.
