Rupandehi Super League-2082 is scheduled to be held in Bhairahawa from Tuesday. The organizing body, Rupandehi Cricket Association, has informed that the ‘B’ Division matches will be held from Chaitra 17 to 30.

Tournament coordinator Pratham Parajuli said that 20 clubs and academies of Rupandehi will participate in a total of 37 matches in the Rupandehi Super League-2082. According to him, the ‘A’ Division matches will be held after the conclusion of the Prime Minister’s Cup. After the ‘B’ Division matches, two teams will be promoted to the ‘A’ Division. After that, the tie sheet of the ‘A’ Division will be published.

This is the 24th edition of the Super League. The winning team of the tournament will receive Rs 1 lakh 1 and the runner-up will receive Rs 50 thousand 1. It is said that the tournament to be held at the Siddhartha Cricket Ground will cost about Rs 1.5 million.

The Man of the Series will receive Rs 15,000, the Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Emerging Player will receive Rs 5,000 each. The Man of the Match of each match will receive Rs 1,200.

The winner of the competition is Mount Everest Katha Mill, the runner-up is VK Jewelers Bhairahawa, and the Man of the Match is sponsored by Siddhartha Udyog Banijya Sangha.

Former President of Rupandehi Cricket Association Prashant Bikram Malla said that the Super League is the backbone of Rupandehi cricket. According to him, the league has made a significant contribution in producing national and international players from the district.

‘A’ Division Western Cricket Club, New Horizon Cricket Club, Lumbini Khukuri Club, Tilottama Cricket Club, JR Cricket Club, Tirupati Cricket Club, MCC Cricket Club and Butwal Rhinos will participate in the competition.

‘B’ Division Buddha Cricket Club, Nephthya Gyanodaya, Devdaha Cricket Unit, Shankarnagar Cricket Club, Lumbini Shakyan Club, Butwal-11 Cricket Club, Saina Maina Cricket Club, Goalpark Cricket Club, Sai Global Academy, Professional Masters-11, Butwal Youth Club and Star Cricket Academy will participate.
