KVC Hounds have won their seventh consecutive game in the Himalayan Java National Basketball League (HJNBL). The Hounds defeated Kirtipur 79-69 on Sunday at the Dasharath Rangsala Covered Hall in Tripureshwor. 

The Hounds performed 25-21, 17-11, 11-15, 26-22. The Hounds are in fourth place with 17 points after their seventh win in 10 games. Asim Shrestha of the Hounds was named Player of the Match. Kirtipur, who suffered their eighth defeat, has 12 points from 10 games.

On Saturday night, Golden Gate Basketball Club defeated Solo Basketball Club 100-60 to win their ninth game. Golden Gate has scored 19 points from 10 games. Golden Gate's Zain Khan was named Player of the Match with 24 points. 

Eight teams are competing in the second edition of the HJNBL, organized by the Nepal Basketball Association (NEBA). There will be a total of 56 matches in the league, which will be held on a double round-robin basis. The top four teams after the league stage will enter the playoffs. Under the playoffs, the first qualifier will be between the first and second-placed teams in the league, while the eliminator match will be between the third and fourth-placed teams in the league. The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 400,000, the runner-up will receive Rs 200,000, and the third-placed team will receive Rs 100,000.
