Nepal Uma Kung Fu Association honored athletes who won medals in various international competitions on Tuesday. Bhupendra Gurung and Sujan Kakshapati were honored for their success in enhancing Nepal's prestige on the world stage.

They were honored by Nepal Uma Kung Fu Association President and WMAC Nepal Chapter General Secretary Sanjit Kumar Rai, Chief Coach Deepak Shrestha, Uma Kung Fu Association Vice President Ramesh Maharjan, WMAC Nepal President Swayambhuraj Dangol and others with certificates of appreciation.

Bhupendra has won 12 gold and 2 silver medals in various competitions held in the US, Germany, Thailand and the UK. Sujan recently won 2 gold medals in the Battle of Bavaria held in Regensburg, Germany.

President Rai said that the achievements achieved by the athletes have made not only the Uma Kung Fu Association but the entire nation proud.

Bhupendra said that the achievement was possible due to the proper training he received from his coach. Sujan said that winning gold in his first international participation boosted his morale.
