Sujan Dangol opened the scoring for Nepal in the fifth minute. Thinley Yazer was forced to leave the field with a double yellow card after fouling Nepali goalkeeper Pembo Norbu in the 14th minute of the game. Subhash Bam added the second goal in the 52nd minute.
In this way, Nepal seemed to be heading towards an easy victory. However, Dundee pulled a goal back for Bhutan in the 82nd minute and the game reached an exciting turn. Earlier, although Nepal had complete control over the game, Bhutan came under pressure after getting a goal back.
Now Nepal will face Sri Lanka in the match on Wednesday. The host Maldives is also in this group.
