The Rupandehi Lawn Tennis Association is organizing the 8th Butwal National Open Lawn Tennis and 4th Mayor's Cup tournament in Butwal from 16 Chaitra. The association organized a press conference in Butwal on Friday and gave information about the tournament. The

competition will feature a total of 11 categories for men's and women's singles and doubles. According to association president Bishnu Prasad Chapagain, there will be 6 categories for singles - men's/women's singles, men's 35+, men's 45+, men's 55+, men's 65+. President Chapagain said that there will be 11 categories for doubles - men's doubles, women's doubles, men's 35+, men's 45+ and men's 55+. The winner of the

competition will receive 60,000/60,000 in cash, the runner-up 30,000 in cash and the third-place finisher 20,000 along with cups, medals and certificates.

Similarly, the winners of Men's 35 Plus, Men's 45 Plus, Men's 55 Plus, Men's 65 Plus will be awarded Rs 40,000, Rs 35,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs 20,000, Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 7,500, cups, medals and certificates, said Chairman Chapagain.

The competition will be held at the tennis court of the Rupandehi Lawn Tennis Association in Butwal-11, Devinagar, which will last until Chaitra 20. The association's secretary Manoj Nepal said that it is estimated that the cost of the competition will be Rs 2,667,500.

The association has stated that more than 200 male and female players from all over the country will participate in the competition.

The association has been continuously organizing national-level lawn tennis competitions in Butwal since 2075 BS.
