The organization of Nepal's top league has become even more uncertain after talks between the Martyrs' Memorial League 'A' Division clubs and the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) broke down on Monday.

The situation has become even more critical after the ANFA and the Nepal Football Players' Association signed an agreement last week to organize the 'A' Division from Chaitra 30. The clubs participating in the league were ignored while making the agreement.

In protest against this, the 'A' Division clubs went to talks on Monday with a seven-point demand. ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai and CEO Indraman Tuladhar participated in the talks held at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato. During the talks, which of the 14 participating 'A' Division clubs would be Three Star or APF, were asked to give an official decision.

ANFA had said that it could not make a decision on that. Immediately after, there was no concrete response regarding the implementation of the agreement between ANFA and the 'A' Division clubs to organize the competition. In such a situation, the 'A' Division clubs did not consider it necessary to participate in further talks. Before that, the 'A' Division Club had presented a seven-point demand in a press conference.

The first demand was the implementation of the agreement reached between ANFA and the 'A' Division Club on 17 Kartik 2082 regarding the competition. Similarly, the second demand was that the 'transfer window' should be opened while the national league is in progress. The club's third demand was that ANFA should facilitate the 'work permit' of foreign players by immediately establishing a one-stop system.

The fourth demand was that a concrete decision be made regarding the participation of the 14 clubs and then the legal obstacles and the legitimacy of the league should be maintained. In the fifth demand, the clubs were ignored during the negotiations with the players' association for organizing the league, and that this should be corrected. In the next demand, a condition has been made that 30 days are required for preparation after the end of the national league.

In the seventh and final demand, it has been said that the date should be fixed only after agreement is reached with the clubs participating in the league. On the occasion of the press conference, Karma Tshering Sherpa, former president of ANFA and president of Himalayan Sherpa Club, said, "ANFA makes a decision today, makes an agreement but does not implement it. On the contrary, it is making arbitrary and unilateral decisions. We, the stakeholders, are already annoyed by this."
