The seven participating teams, including 6 from Bagmati and Tribhuvan University (TU), competed in the round-robin league and finished in the top two.
Kathmandu, who elected to bat after winning the toss, was all out for 210 runs in 48.4 overs. Surya Tamang, Vivek Rana Magar, Sachin Lekhak took 2-2 wickets and Pankaj Pandey and Tilak Raj Bhandari took 1-1 wickets to prevent Kathmandu from scoring a big score.
Captain Ishan Pandey top-scored for Kathmandu with 44 runs. He hit 3 fours and 1 six in 60 balls. Sachin stumped him to give Lalitpur a crucial win. Opener Rabin Joshi was dismissed for 5 runs while his opening partner Rit Gautam added 42 runs. Rit hit 4 fours in 65 balls.
