Milan Bista, Roshni Shah of Syuchatar Taekwondo Dojang and Mohammad Sami of the host Sitapaila Taekwondo Dojang 'A' have won gold medals in the 1st Nagarjuna Deputy Mayor's Cup and 12th Sitapaila Kathmandu District Level Taekwondo Competition.

Milan came first in the senior single poomsae men's category and Roshni came first in the women's category. Sami won success in the cadet men's under 41 kg category. In the competition being held at Khopatol in Nagarjuna Municipality-4, Milan defeated Shubham Gharti Magar of Nirmal Taekwondo Dojang and Roshni defeated Anjana Waiba of Swayambhu Taekwondo Dojang. Sami defeated Raunak Kamat of Jupiter High School.

In the senior men's under 54 kg category, Shubham Jung Kunwar defeated Pemba Tamang of Dhalko Taekwondo Dojang and Alan Ale Magar defeated Rameshwor Budhathoki of Syuchatar to win gold. The winning duo is from Gorkhali Taekwondo Dojang.

In the senior women's under 46 kg category, Diksha Tamang of Dhalko defeated Seema Jarghamgar of The Next Level and Sonia Tamang of Lion Martial Arts won the gold medal by defeating Pasang Lama of Dhalko.

In the cadet single poomsae men's event, Prasang Shakya of Jaisedeval defeated Rivaz Dangol of Syuchatar and in the women's event, Muviksha Gajurel of Jaisedeval defeated Simran Gurung of Syuchatar. In the junior single poomsae men's event, Rozen Prajapati of Jaisedeval defeated Sajal Baskota of Syuchatar and in the women's event, Shubhashree Shrestha of Syuchatar defeated Pooja Tamang of Swayambhu to win the gold medal. 

In the children's category, Ganga Pariyar of Dhalko and Sanish Sen Thakuri of Lion Martial Arts won first place in the men's 23 kg under 26 kg category. Ganga defeated Birendra Humagain of Sitapaila 'A' and Sanish defeated Lucky Thapa Magar of Sitapaila 'A'.

In the children's category, Gyaljen Tamang of Dhalko defeated Rijan Tamang of Bishnudevi Taekwondo Dojang, Nawaraj Pariyar of Dhalko defeated Oscar Tamang of Lion under 33 kg category, and Prajjwal Poudel of Swayambhu defeated Prabhakar Mahar of Lion under 37 kg category to win the top spot.

The competition was inaugurated by Sushila Adhikari, Deputy Mayor of Nagarjuna Municipality. The top three teams will receive prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively, informed Bablu Siwakoti, the chief trainer and chairman of the organizing dojang.

On the occasion of the inauguration, player Subhangi Shrestha was honored with 20 thousand and Dilika Blon with 10 thousand. Prajit Shakya of Gorkhapatra Daily and Bishnu Thapa of Annapurna Post were also honored.
