Shocked Tottenham coach Igor Tudor has admitted that everything that is happening at the club is only getting worse. English club Tottenham lost its sixth consecutive game for the first time in its 144-year history on Tuesday. Tottenham was defeated by Atletico Madrid by a wide margin of 5-2 in the first leg of the last 16 of the European Champions League.

Tottenham, which is going through a very critical phase, is only one point above the relegation zone in the English Premier League. Tudor was appointed on February 14 after Thomas Frank was dismissed. Tottenham has only accepted defeat in all four games since then. His arrival has not been able to restore confidence in the players. So far, no Tottenham coach has lost his first four games.

Tudor himself said after playing against Atletico, "We were very weak, a very fragile team. I'm not saying this about myself, we have to calm down, we have to talk less.'

What really happened to Tottenham? To this question, Tudor said, it is very unnatural, even unexpected. Croatian coach Tudor said, 'Why this is happening, it is difficult to say.'

The biggest criticism currently being made of him is that he was given the responsibility of goalposts in the game against Atletico to Antonin Kinski. This goalkeeper made his Champions League debut in this game, but lasted only 17 minutes on the field. He was immediately substituted. In the meantime, Tottenham had already conceded three goals, two of which were directly due to his own mistakes.

Not only that, towards the end of the game, Cristiano Romero and Joao Paulinho collided heads with each other. Due to this, both players were forced to leave the field. In this way, Tottenham was limited to 9 players. Romero, who is also the captain of Tottenham, tried to play but could not. Tottenham now have a Premier League match against Liverpool. Both players are unlikely to play in that match.

Not only that, but center back Mickey van de Ven will also not play due to suspension. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Kinski had one of the most forgettable debuts in Champions League history. As he entered the Metropolitano Stadium as a substitute, two team players had to hold him and show him sympathy. Playing for Tottenham for the third time this season, he got a chance to start for the first time since October.

Tudor's decision to bench his first-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario proved to be completely wrong. The coach explained this, saying, "This decision was necessary because it could have saved the team and the players. But now the situation has really deteriorated." Kinski signed for Tottenham in January last year. The club's goalkeeper was injured and was recalled from Slavia Prague.
