The martial arts and traditional archery team is set to leave for Kunming, China on Tuesday for special training.
The six-member team departing for China includes Rajiv Maharjan, Rajkumar Rai, Temba Bhote, Shankar Bhujel, Umesh Maharjan and Raj Maharjan. While in Kunming, the team will undergo training in modern martial arts and ancient archery from Chinese trainers. Abhishek Bikram Shah, president of the Kathmandu Zenji Traditional Archery Association and vice president of the Nepal Wushu Federation, bid farewell to the team on Monday. Rajiv Maharjan, president of the Martial Arts Organization Nepal, said that the training will enhance the capabilities of Nepali players and trainers.
