Kathmandu (Kash) – The Nepal Football Players Association has indefinitely locked down the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) office in Satdobato on Sunday.
The players’ association president, Bikram Lama, has said that the lockout will not be lifted until their demands are met. Before that, national and international players had reached Satdobato with various demands.
But the ANFA leadership was not there for talks. The lockout was then imposed. The players’ association had reached ANFA to discuss the certainty of organizing the Martyrs’ Memorial League A Division, which has not been held for more than a thousand days, information about the players’ revolving fund, and the prize money remaining for the players.
According to President Lama, details of the revolving fund have been demanded from ANFA. Similarly, players have not received the prize money they were due since 2017. It has been more than three years since the Martyrs’ Memorial League A Division was organized. President Lama said, ‘As long as our demands are not addressed, the lockout will not be lifted.’
