The previous day, he had also defeated India's Tarun Karra in straight sets. Now Abhishek will play against Russian player Artem Bogomolov in the next round on Thursday. He is at the top of his group.
This tournament with a prize money of 20 thousand US dollars under the UTR Pro Tennis Tour is Abhishek's first tournament of the season. Earlier, he competed in the PTT Phan Thiet in Vietnam in December. Abhishek has played about one and a half dozen tournaments on this tour.
