Savitra Bhandari said on Tuesday that she has raised the necessary funds for her injured knee surgery. She said on social media that she has raised not only the amount needed for the ACL surgery on her knee, but also for rehab, accommodation and transportation.

The captain of the Nepali national team had appealed for financial support for her treatment just the previous day. She had informed that she needed $80,000 for the surgery.

A day later, she said that more than 10 million rupees had been deposited in her Nepali bank account and 52,000 New Zealand dollars on foreign platforms. She also thanked everyone for their support.
