Australia defeated Oman by 9 wickets in the final league match of the T20 World Cup 2026 on Friday. 

Australia, which failed to enter the Super Eight of the competition, will return home after this victory. They were given a target of only 105 runs to win. In the process, Australia managed to score 108 runs in 9.4 overs for the loss of 1 wicket in the match in Colombo.

Among the opening pair, captain Mitchell Marsh scored 64 runs in 33 balls and remained not out. He hit 7 fours and 4 sixes. The only batsman to be dismissed in this way was Travis Head, who scored 32 runs in 19 balls. He had 6 fours from his bat.
