The 'Namuna Super Cup Inter-College Level Twenty-Twenty Cricket Tournament-2082' is being organized in Koshi Province with the aim of developing the professional game of cricket, identifying young talent, and providing a proper platform to college-level players.
The tournament, organized by Namuna Blasters, will be held at the historic Janata Park Cricket Ground in Itahari from February 20, the organizers informed in a press conference on Tuesday.
The organizers have stated that college teams from three major districts of Koshi Province will participate in the tournament. The four-day tournament will be played in a Twenty-Twenty format.
The winning team of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 30,000, a shield, trophy, medal and certificate, while the runner-up team will receive a cash prize of Rs 15,000. In addition, awards will be given to the best players in various categories including 'Man of the Series', 'Best Batsman' and 'Best Bowler'.
The organizers have stated that GK Sports and Event Management will provide technical support to make the tournament, which will be organized with the special support of Sunsari District Cricket Association, organized systematically and competitively.
