Madhesh Province emerged victorious in the second national hockey tournament being held at the Dasharath Stadium on Tuesday.

Madhesh defeated Bagmati Province 4-0. Rupesh Rai scored 2 goals, Umesh Shrestha and Ajay Kumar Shah scored 1 goal each.

In the men's division, Sudurpaschim Province defeated Koshi Province 3-2. Kishorraj Ojha of Sudurpaschim scored 2 goals and Ayush Shah scored a goal. Saurabh Dangal and Bisu Ghimire of Koshi scored goals.

In the women's division, Koshi and Bagmati played to a goalless draw. Sudurpaschim defeated Madhesh 1-0. Bandana Bhatta scored the decisive goal.

Six teams are competing in the men's division and five in the women's division of the tournament organized by the Nepal Hockey Association. The top three teams in both groups will receive cash prizes of Rs 75,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
