Astronics Management has signed an agreement with Kantipur Max TV HD as the broadcasting partner for Season 2 of the Nepal Kabaddi League (NKL).

The second season of the Nepal Kabaddi League (NKL) is scheduled to be held from 22nd Jestha at the Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwor.

The organizer, Astronics Management, has announced the date of the second edition of the NKL. It has been informed that 512 Nepali players and more than 100 foreign players from 15 countries have registered for the second season. This number is double that of last year. The organizer claims that this indicates that the second season will be grand.

Astronics Chief Amit Kumar Begani said that the first edition last year was better than expected and informed that professionalism has begun in Nepali Kabaddi and that the second season will be conducted better and better than expected.  

According to him, along with experienced Indian players of the Kabaddi League, players from countries including Iran, South Korea, Poland are ready to come to Nepal to play the NKL.

Astronics Management's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vikas Agrawal said that this time the NKL will be conducted with a budget of 100 million. Nepal Kabaddi Association President Tulsi Thapa, General Secretary Arvind Kumar Jha, and rapper Vioma were also present at the program.

Astronics Management has also signed an agreement with Kantipur Max TV HD as the broadcasting partner of NKL Season 2. The agreement was signed by Astronics CEO Agarwal and Kantipur Television Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Anupam Adhikari. As per the agreement, the matches of NKL Season 2 will be broadcast live on Kantipur Max TV HD. CMO Adhikari said that live broadcasting will be of great help in taking the game of Kabaddi to the grassroots.

In the first season, 6 teams from 6 cities, Biratnagar Bandits, Janakpur Knights, Kathmandu Mavericks, Pokhara Lakers, Himalayan Raiders (Butwal) and Dhangadhi Wildcats, competed. Janakpur became the NKL champion by defeating Kathmandu 43-41 in the final. Astronics Management has also started the NKL NextGen Inter-School Kabaddi Championship in an effort to develop Kabaddi from the grassroots.
