The Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open Golf will begin at the Royal Nepal Golf Club on Tuesday. 34 professional players and 21 amateur golfers will compete in the four-day, 72-hole tournament.

The cut will be made after 36 holes of play. The top 18 pro and amateur players will secure their places for the final two days.

To make this tournament more competitive, the course has been made challenging. Players have already understood the course conditions from the practice rounds. 

The total prize money for this fourth tournament under the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2025-26 is Rs 875,000.

The winner will receive Rs 150,000, the second will receive Rs 150,000 and the third will receive Rs 85,000. The fourth will receive Rs 71,000 and the fifth will receive Rs 63,000.

The top 18 players will receive prizes. Number one golfers Neeraj Tamang, Bhuvan Nagarkoti, Jayaram Shrestha, Ravi Khadka and Dinesh Prajapati will be the main contenders. They will be challenged by amateur golfer Rahul Vishwakarma, who won the first event of the season. 

The Nepal Professional Golfers Association (NPGA) is organizing the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2025-26 under the sponsorship of Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
