Donyell Malen scored a goal in each half as AS Roma defeated Cagliari 2-0 in Italy's Serie A on Monday.

He scored the first goal in the 25th minute and added the second goal in the 65th minute.

After this victory, Roma has 46 points from 24 games and is in fifth place. Inter Milan is in the top spot with 58 points. Behind them are AC Milan with 50, Napoli with 49 and Juventus with 46 points.

Roma, which was once in the title race, has weakened after some poor results. Defeated Cagliari is in 12th place with 28 points.
