Valley Public and Ferryland School won the second Gyan Sanskar Inter-School Basketball Tournament on Monday. Valley Public emerged as the champions in the boys and Ferryland girls categories.

In the boys' final, Valley Public defeated Daffodil by a score of 56-40. Ashok Bik of Valley scored 21 points. In the girls' final held at the court of the host Gyan Sanskar School,

Ferriland defeated Valley Public by a score of 30-25. Sandeepa Rai of Ferriland scored 17 points. The winners of both groups received 15,000 and the runners-up received 10,000.

Valley Public and Ferryland Basketball Champions Rihan Sherchan of Valley Public and Khushbu Magar of Ferriland were declared the Most Valuable Players in the boys' final and in the girls' final. Aryan Gurung of Valley Public and Sonimaya Tamang of Valley Public were named the Best Three Pointer in the boys' final and Phu Lhamu Lama of Ferriland were the highest scorers in the tournament.

Rosemary of Boys and Bagmati of Girls won the Disciplined Team title. Canvas Basant Ritu emerged as the emerging team in the boys' division and Gyan Sanskar emerged as the emerging team in the girls' division.

The winners were awarded by Sadish Pradhan, captain of the national men's basketball team, Neelam Baniya, principal of Gyan Sanskar, and Bishnu Chandra Adhikari, principal of Ferryland.
