Scotland set Italy a target of 208 runs

Scotland have set a target of 208 runs against Italy in their Group C match at the Twenty20 World Cup 2026 on Monday.

Scotland, who were invited to bat first at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, scored 207 runs for the loss of four wickets.

Opener George Munsey, who was included in the last minute just a few days before the start of the tournament, scored 84 runs in 54 balls for Scotland. He hit 13 fours and two sixes. Another opener Michael Jones scored 37 runs in 30 balls.

They shared a solid partnership of 126 runs for the first wicket. Among the not-out batsmen, Brandon McCullough scored 41 runs.

For Italy, who were making their World Cup debut, Grant Stewart took Munsey's valuable wicket and prevented him from scoring a century.
