Pakistan on Monday put forward three conditions before the International Cricket Council (ICC) to withdraw its decision to boycott the match against India in the Twenty20 World Cup 2026.
The ICC representative met Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in Dubai, UAE. Bangladesh Cricket Board Chairman Aminul Isla was also present on the occasion.
Pakistan announced that it would not play the match against India in Colombo on February 15 after the ICC eliminated Bangladesh from the tournament. Now, after talks with the ICC, Pakistan has put forward its conditions.
Pakistan has put forward the conditions that it has been receiving from the ICC to increase the grant it has been receiving, the bilateral series between India and Pakistan should be resumed and the players should shake hands with each other after the matches between the two countries.
It is said that if the World Cup match between India and Pakistan is not held, the ICC will lose at least $ 500 million. The Sri Lankan Cricket Board had also requested Pakistan to reconsider its decision not to play against India.
