The semi-final draw of the Bikash Shield, the national deaf football competition, has been completed.
On the first day of the competition at Dasharath Stadium on Sunday, Koshi Province, Sudurpaschim Province and Bagmati Province (A) and (B) teams made it to the semi-finals.
Bagmati Province (B) defeated Karnali Province 3-1. In the second match, Bagmati (A) defeated Lumbini Province 4-2 in a penalty shootout. Earlier, the scheduled time ended in a goalless draw.
Sudurpaschim won 4-0 against Madhesh Province. In the next match, Koshi won 6-2.
Sundar Dhoka Sathi Sewa organized a national-level deaf football competition under the Bikash Shield, which is being run by the Deaf Sports Association with the aim of promoting disability sports.
The competition was inaugurated by Ramcharitra Mehta, Acting Member Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC) to give the message that deaf people can also play football and to change the way deaf people are viewed in society.
The semi-final and final matches will be held on Monday. In the first semi-final, Bagmati (B) will play Sudurpaschim and Bagmati (A) will play Koshi.
