Lokendra Rai and Annie Mai Ban emerged as winners in the men's and women's categories respectively in the fifth and final round of the third edition of the KVR Summit Challenge.

In the 20-kilometer race organized by Trailmandu Nepal on Saturday, Lokendra took 1 hour 41 minutes 4 seconds. He was second in the fourth stage. The winner of the last edition, Milan Kulung Rai, came in second with 1 hour 43 minutes and 27 seconds. Deepak Amatya (1:58:23 seconds) came in third.

Annie won the title in the women's category, beating the winner of the fourth stage, Sonia Martin. Annie completed the distance in 2 hours 17 minutes 57 seconds. Sonia (2:23:28 seconds) came in second. Nepal's Tshering Ongmu Sherpa (2:32:30 seconds) came in third.

In the men's 10-kilometer race, Tshering Tashi Hyolmo (1:12:16 seconds) came in first, Prem Bahadur Sunuwar (1:14:44 seconds) came in second and Tilvikram Sambahange (1:16:09 seconds) came in third. In the women's category, Anabel Grontun took first place in 1 hour 21 minutes 50 seconds. Margous Teston (1:35:32 seconds) was second and Muna Limbu (1:39:14 seconds) was third.

94 runners, both domestic and foreign, participated in the competition held in the capital. The winners were awarded by Neeraj Shrestha, representative of the Nepal Olympic Committee, and Rajendra Tuladhar, deputy director of the Nepal Academy of Sports Sciences.
