Host JB School advanced to the quarterfinals of the Junior Boys' Division of the 2nd JB Inter-School Basketball Tournament on Saturday.

JB defeated Paramount Academy by a slim score of 20-19. JB's Gaurav Oli scored 10 points. JB had defeated Scholars Home by 31-25 in the first match.

In the junior boys' category, Oasis Academy defeated Arambha by 20-10. Oasis's Vinay Dangol scored 8 points. Oasis's first win in the second match.

In the senior girls' category, Valley Public defeated Triveni by 38-20. Valley Public's Celina Gurung scored 17 points. Valley Public has reached the quarterfinals, while Triveni is out of the competition with its second consecutive loss. Similarly, Basundhara National Academy (BNA) registered a 30-20 win over Satya Sai. BNA's Aakriti Yadav scored 9 points.
